RETAINED FORENSIC DOCUMENT EXAMINATION
Two reports expressed opinions about questioned estate documents and handwriting.
A June 20, 2024 report examined questioned wills, a designation, and Gina Gazvoda's known signatures. An April 26, 2026 report compared handwriting in a questioned will with five known Nicholas Forte handwriting exemplars.
Attribution and scope:The findings below are the examiner's professional opinions based on submitted copies and exemplars. They are not independent findings by Justice for Gina and are not a verdict about criminal guilt or Gina's death.
APRIL 26, 2026 REPORT
Questioned handwriting compared with five known exemplars.
ACE and visual examination
The report identifies visual, microscopic, and macroscopic examination; Analysis, Comparison, and Evaluation; and digital image processing. It states that the examination followed ANSI/ASB Standard 070, First Edition 2022.
Copies and exemplar constraints
The report identifies limits involving the quantity of questioned writing, dates or contemporaneousness of some known exemplars, and the fact that the materials were copies rather than original documents.
Report status: The 22-page report states that the examiner affirmed it on April 26, 2026 under penalties of perjury under New York law. It also states that the examiner's compensation was not contingent on the outcome or any particular opinion.

Documents examined
The report describes two questioned versions of a July 28, 2019 will and a questioned designation, along with comparison templates and seven known-signature documents containing nine Gina Gazvoda signatures.
Document opinions
The examiner reported characteristics she considered indicative of alteration or manipulation, and expressed opinions that two questioned documents appeared non-genuine when compared with submitted templates.
Signature opinion
For one questioned signature, the examiner expressed her highest-confidence elimination opinion that it was not written by Gina Gazvoda when compared with the known exemplars.
Report limitations
The examination used reproduced, non-original documents. The report cautions that copying and scanning can distort features and that findings depend on submitted copies accurately reproducing the originals.

The attached résumé states that she earned bachelor's degrees in forensic science and biology from the University of New Haven in 2012, worked at the New York City Police Department Police Laboratory from 2013 through 2023 as a Criminalist III, and later operated a private forensic document examination practice.

Both report packages preserve the examiner's ability to inspect originals or additional exemplars and supplement the opinions if further material becomes available.
