Family-authorized public release: The playable MP3 is a derivative of the preserved official-source WAV. Publication does not establish deception, guilt, or cause of death.
Listen to the 911 call. Review every conclusion against the records.
The family authorized public release of a compressed MP3 derivative on July 22, 2026. The original official-source WAV remains preserved unchanged and separately hashed.

REVIEW QUESTIONS
What the transcript and records must test
The following are disputed questions raised by family-created and witness-attributed records. Public release of the audio does not resolve them automatically.
UNRESOLVEDTranscript required
Who was present?
A family-created witness timeline reports a conflict concerning whether anyone else was present when responders needed access. Background audio must be identified conservatively and corroborated independently.
Rule: An unidentified voice will not be assigned to a person without corroboration.
UNRESOLVEDSource comparison
CPR instructions and activity
Family materials dispute whether CPR was actually performed. Review must separate dispatcher instructions, the caller’s responses, audible activity, EMS documentation, and witness recollections.
Rule: The site will not describe CPR as fake or staged without reliable source and expert support.
UNRESOLVEDChronology review
Prior movements and timing
Statements about earlier movements must be compared with the police report, EMS record, dispatch timestamps, phone records, and later sworn testimony. A discrepancy is a documented question—not automatic proof of intent or guilt.
FBI-INFORMED METHOD
Compare statements to facts—not emotion to guilt
The review framework follows the cautious principle described in the FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin: verbal observations are most useful when compared with case facts, written statements, and later interviews. Tone, crying, pitch, pauses, or emotional presentation cannot independently establish deception.
Use
Statement-to-record comparison
Timestamp the caller’s exact words and compare them with official dispatch, police, EMS, telephone, and sworn records.
Use cautiously
Observable language
Record volunteered explanations, corrections, sequence changes, minimization, and references to others—but do not convert a language feature into a finding of guilt.
Do not use
Voice-stress “lie detection”
The project will not use automated voice-stress software or claim that vocal stress proves deception. National Institute of Justice testing has found serious accuracy limitations.
Reliability limit: This project does not use a checklist of supposedly “guilty” words, emotions, pauses, or reactions to decide whether a caller is truthful. The recording is treated as a contemporaneous statement whose exact contents must be tested against independent evidence. Behavioral resemblance to another call is not forensic proof.
The Murdaugh call may illustrate categories—not prove this case
A later comparison may examine observable categories such as scene description, volunteered chronology, references to other people, emergency instructions, and changes between the call and later accounts. Similarity between two calls does not establish the same act, motive, or guilt.
Publication limit: No substantive side-by-side conclusion will be published until Gina’s call has a reliable timestamped transcript and the comparison uses a primary recording or authenticated transcript for each call.
REVIEW STATUS
What is complete and what remains
Original preserved and hashed
The official-source WAV remains unchanged. Analysis and redaction work must use controlled derivatives.
Family-authorized MP3 release
The compressed derivative is publicly playable and stored under inherited anyone-with-link read access.
Timestamped transcript
Each speaker turn, uncertainty, overlap, background voice, instruction, response, and silence must be marked without inventing unclear words.
Source comparison and red-team review
Every public conclusion must identify its source class and distinguish official fact, witness account, allegation, expert opinion, inference, and unresolved question.
